William McMullen

Will is the firm’s Founder and Managing Partner and leads the firm’s investment strategy and capital allocation decisions. Prior to founding BCE in 2015, Will founded BCEP (Bayou City Energy Partners LP) in 2014, a private equity vehicle established to manage small upstream drilling opportunities and oilfield service platforms. Prior to BCEP, Will served in various investment team and banker capacities at White Deer Energy, Denham Capital Management and UBS Investment Bank.

Will served as the inaugural Chairman for the Houston Young Professionals Endeavor, a program of the Greater Houston Partnership and as CFO and Board Member of the Young Professionals in Energy (“YPE”), a non-profit organization with more than 40,000 members worldwide. Will earned his Bachelor’s degree in Economics, with Honors, from Harvard University.


 

Mark Stoner

Prior to joining Bayou City, Mr. Stoner was the Vice President of Finance at Alta Mesa Holdings, a privately held E&P company headquartered in Houston, Texas. Mr. Stoner joined Alta Mesa in March 2008 and helped oversee the financing of the company from an enterprise with $41 million of EBITDAX in 2007 to $261 million in 2014. While at Alta Mesa, Mark had leadership roles in the initial and subsequent High Yield debt offerings as well as the recapitalization of the Company by Highbridge Principal Strategies in 2014, and was a member of the A&D team which sourced and evaluated acquisition and divestiture opportunities. Mr. Stoner was an active member of the Company’s Leadership Team and oversaw numerous financing aspects of the Company including budgeting and financial forecasting, and managing day to day relations with private equity sponsors, banks, debt investors, and Rating Agencies. Prior to joining Alta Mesa, Mark worked as a Financial Analyst at Leor Energy, where he created financial modeling and projection tools, worked on private equity placements, and helped lead the multi-path monetization effort which ultimately ended in the sale of the company to EnCana Corporation. During his tenure at Alta Mesa and Leor Energy, Mark helped complete over $3.3 billion of acquisition and divestures. Mr. Stoner earned his Bachelor’s degree in Business from Southwestern University.


 

Kristin MacKelvey

Chief Financial Officer

Prior to joining Bayou City, Mrs. MacKelvey was the Controller at White Deer Energy, a private equity fund in Houston, Texas with $2.2 billion under management. As the Controller, Mrs. MacKelvey oversaw all aspects of the accounting, compliance and administrative functions of the firm. Mrs. MacKelvey joined White Deer in 2010 after seven years with PricewaterhouseCoopers. At PwC, Mrs. MacKelvey worked as a tax manager in various areas of accounting and focused on private equity tax consulting, planning and compliance with an emphasis in the energy sector. Mrs. MacKelvey holds a Masters in Professional Accounting and BBA in Business Honors and Accounting from The University of Texas.


 

Darren Lindamood

Prior to joining Bayou City, Mr. Lindamood was an attorney at Norton Rose Fulbright, where he handled a variety of litigation matters. He was named a "Rising Star" in 2017 by Texas Super Lawyers. Mr. Lindamood earned his law degree from Wake Forest University School of Law and served as Executive Editor of the Law Review. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Wake Forest University with a B.A. in English and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa.


 

Andrew Koehler

Prior to Bayou City, Mr. Koehler worked as an Associate and Analyst within the Global Energy Group of Canaccord Genuity. While with Canaccord, Mr. Koehler worked on various capital markets and advisory transactions within the small upstream oil and gas sector, including equity and debt private placements, public equity issuances, reverse mergers, and asset acquisitions and divestitures. Mr. Koehler graduated Summa Cum Laude from Tulane University with a B.A. in Economics and Political Science and a B.S. in Psychology and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa.


 

Richard Wynne

Prior to joining Bayou City, Mr. Wynne worked as Director of Finance for one of ECP’s portfolio companies, Sendero Midstream. Previously, Mr. Wynne worked in the business development group for Plains All American Pipeline and as an Analyst in UBS Investment Bank's Global Energy Group. Mr. Wynne holds an MBA from Columbia University and a BA in Political Science from Yale University.


 

Michael Weiser

Prior to joining Bayou City, Mr. Weiser worked as an Investment Banking Analyst for Petrie Partners in Denver, CO. While with Petrie Partners, Mr. Weiser worked on various transactions in the upstream oil and gas sector, including corporate mergers and acquisitions, asset divestitures, debt restructuring, and strategic advisory assignments. Mr. Weiser graduated with honors from the Mays Business School at Texas A&M University with an M.S. in Finance and a B.B.A. in Finance.

Prior to joining Bayou City, Mr. Clark worked as an Investment Banking Analyst within the Global Energy Group of Canaccord Genuity. While with Canaccord, Mr. Clark worked on various transactions in the small upstream oil and gas sector, including public equity and debt issuances, asset acquisitions and divestitures, fairness opinions, and strategic alternative mandates. Mr. Clark graduated Magna Cum Laude from Millsaps College with a B.S. in Economics and Business Administration.


 

Val Brock

Mr. Brock brings over 34 years of line and leadership experience in oil and gas venture management to Bayou City. He spent 30 years with Shell in the US and Netherlands before joining Kinder Morgan in the US. Prior to joining BCE, he had formed Bismuth Energy LLC, focused on oil and gas opportunity definition, acquisition, and development. As Vice President CO2 Source & Transportation with Kinder Morgan, Val led the world’s largest CO2 development and supply business, meeting the needs for CO2 enhanced oil recovery projects in W Texas, New Mexico, and Utah. Prior to joining Kinder Morgan in 2013, Val served as the leader for Shell’s global technology and business development organization for enhanced and improved recovery methods. He joined Shell in 1983 from the University of Texas (BSME and MBA), and following petroleum engineering assignments in the US Permian Basin, held various management positions including corporate planning/strategy and oil and gas field exploration, development, and operations both onshore and offshore US.


 

Robert Frazier

Prior to joining Bayou City, Mr. Frazier was a Reservoir Engineer at Drive Petroleum/Whitney Oil & Gas, where he focused primarily on asset development and acquisition valuations. Mr. Frazier began his career with Hilcorp Energy, where he worked as an Operations Engineer and Reservoir Engineer for a variety of assets across the Gulf Coast region. Robert received a BS in Petroleum Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin.

Prior to joining Bayou City, Mr. Sparks worked as a Fund Accounting Manager for Oak Hill Advisors L.P., an alternate investment firm with approximately $30B under management across performing and distressed credit. Prior to joining Oak Hill Advisors, L.P., Mr. Sparks served as a Senior Tax Accountant at Postlethwaitte & Netterville focusing on tax preparation and consulting. Mr. Sparks earned an M.S. in Accounting and B.S. in Accounting from Louisiana State University.

Prior to joining Bayou City, Ms. Deiss worked as the Fund Accountant at Siltstone Capital, LLC, a private equity fund in Houston, Texas. Previous to Siltstone Capital, Ms. Deiss worked as the Fund Accountant at White Deer Energy. Ms. Deiss joined White Deer in 2013 after four years with Melton & Melton, LLP. At Melton & Melton, Ms. Deiss worked as a Supervisor on audit engagements in various industries. Ms. Deiss graduated with honors from Lamar University with a BBA in Accounting.


 

Melina Lewis

Prior to joining Bayou City, Mrs. Lewis worked as a Senior Associate in the Assurance Audit practice at PricewaterhouseCoopers in Houston, Texas. At PwC, Mrs. Lewis worked on various large public and private engagements in the energy sector. Mrs. Lewis also worked on small private clients in oil and gas field services and alternative energy sources. Through her time at PwC, Mrs. Lewis had the opportunity to work on acquisitions, divestitures, SOX compliance, information systems implementation, statutory filings, and public filings. Mrs. Lewis holds a Master’s in Accounting and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Texas A&M University – Corpus Christi.


 

Cyndhia Lasso

Prior to joining Bayou City, Ms. Lasso worked as the Manager of E&B Brewery Lofts, while serving as the Executive Assistant to the Owner and CEO of E&B Brewery Lofts and Pellerito Foods, Inc. in Detroit, MI. Ms. Lasso joined E&B Brewery Lofts in 2015 after fourteen years with PASCO Property Management. At PASCO, Ms. Lasso worked as the Accounts Receivable Administrator. While with PASCO Property Management Ms. Lasso oversaw the accounts receivable department while providing support to the property managers and condominium association members.
